“There are always three speeches, for every one you actually gave. The one you practiced, the one you gave, and the one you wish you gave.” – Dale Carnegie
After last year’s successful public speaking seminar, MaltMUN returns with “Speak Up: Louder!” – an evening featuring a number of workshops, whereby all participants will have the chance to learn, develop and practice their public speaking skills.
Feeling confident enough to stand up and voice your opinion is an uncommon but much sought-after skill which is not only useful when taking part in politics or forming part of delegations, but more importantly in job interviews, viva voce examinations, competitions and daily exchanges alike. Consequently, we encourage students and professionals in all fields of study to apply and be part of this workshop, which will centre on the do’s and don’ts of public address and will include a number of activities aimed at maximizing participants’ expertise.
The American Embassy has kindly offered us the use of its premises in Ta’ Qali, therefore places at the workshop will be limited to a maximum of thirty and will be filled on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. A fee of €10 will cover all materials provided throughout the course of the evening.
Places are limited, so reserve a spot by filling in the form below.
Applications for the event are now closed.
